We return to a blog category that satisfies tummy and soul, with a step by step Milola Granola recipe. This recipe is an instant hit with everyone that tries it. It’s super high in protein and fibre and never leaves anyone indifferent.
This granola recipe is our base recipe, onto which you’ll build many variations. It is so simple and delicious: crunchy, vegan, gluten-free and high in protein and fibre.
What are the nutritional benefits of adding Milola Granola to your recipe vault?
It helps lower blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It also packs a ton of antioxidants. Plus, it is so easy to pack and take with you.
What ingredients do you need to make our Milola Granola?
All the ingredients are accessible and can be easily found in shops near you.
200 gr. gluten-free oats.
130 gr. whole almonds.
110 gr. whole pecans.
120 gr. almond meal.
130 gr. good quality maple syrup.
60 gr. extra virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil.
60gr. peanut butter.
Optional ingredients:
A sugar-free dark chocolate bar (thinly sliced), or dark chocolate chips.
What kitchen tools do you need for your step by step Milola Granola recipe?
A large bowl to mix your granola ingredients.
A wooden spoon or silicone spatula to mix and flatten your granola.
An oven, oven tray and parchment paper.
An airtight food container to store it.
How to make:
Step 1: Add the gluten-free oats, whole almonds, pecans, and almond meal in a large bowl. Mix these four ingredients really well.
We prefer not to chop the almonds and pecans. Why? Because we love finding those big chunks while we savour it. Plus there’s something magical to those almonds and pecans fully coated with peanut butter and maple syrup.
Step 2: Pre-heat your oven to 160 Celsius / 320 Fahrenheit.
Step 3: add the maple syrup, coconut or olive oil and peanut butter to the bowl. Use your wooden or silicone spoon to mix those ingredients thoroughly so that they’re fully and evenly coated.
Step 4: Place the mix on an oven tray lined with parchment paper, and flatten with a spatula to achieve even cooking.
This Milola Granola will take approximately 25 minutes to be perfectly crunchy. However, bear in mind that every oven is slightly different and time can vary slightly.

How do you coat your Milola Granola with the dark chocolate?
You have two options:
You can add your chocolate chips to the granola halfway through cooking so that they melt into a gooey gorgeousness.
Or, and this is how we do it at home, you can sprinkle them on your granola when it is still warm, just as it comes out of the oven. Let them melt and coat the granola to sheer perfection.
When and how to enjoy your Milola Granola.
Granola is perfect for breakfast or as a snack. Here are some ideas on how to enjoy it with your loved ones.
Our favourite: serve your Milola Granola on coconut yoghurt. They’re a match made in heaven.
The little ones at home (and not so little) love to have it on ice cream. If you happen to keep fruit in your freezer as we do, you can quickly whip up homemade sugar-free ice cream in your Vitamix, or any other food processor. We mix bananas with blueberries, mango, strawberries, etc, and sprinkle the granola on it for a quick, healthy dessert.
You can also enjoy it with your favourite smoothies, yoghurt or milk, regular or dairy-free.
Lastly…What’s the best way to keep your Milola Granola?
Store it in an airtight container at room temperature. It will stay fresh and last forever (not really, because you’ll eat it all in no time, I promise). Don’t store it in your fridge, or it’ll lose the crunchiness and that’d be a tragedy.
Tada! The Milola Granola step by step recipe that will revolutionize your kitchen is now in your hands. Enjoy it! If you want to put other recipes into practice, do not hesitate to check our blog.
